My Mood: Points: 9,774.54 Bank: 0.05 Total Points: 9,774.59 | Hi, I'd really like to join you ladies if it's all right? I was posting with (well still am) losing lbs and gaining bfp but now I'm throwing in the TTC towel and want to just be selfish and concentrate on losing weight.
My stats:
25 for two more months (boooo)
5' 3" on a good day
currently 266lbs
My highest weight was 275lbs
I'm an emotional eater so I've been fighting the demons of turning to my beloved carbs whenever I get stressed, bored, happy....well...anytime I guess. I recently found out that the combination of staying at 1400cals, combined with my wellbutrin and metformin can help me shed 2lbs a week, but of course after the 3rd week everything went haywire and I can't get myself back on track.
I just had hubby take pictures of me in bra and panties and I'm BEYOND shocked. I didn't think I looked that bad. So.....here I am, having a pity party for one and eating frosted flakes instead of working out. I have no one to blame by myself, so I'm hoping with support I can kick myself back into gear!!
Thanks for listening...I'm a chatterbox!

My Mood: Points: 17,171.96 Bank: 799,792.52 Total Points: 816,964.48 | Resa - Glad to have you join us!! 5'3" on a good day, huh? That sounds like me. lol We've all had our ups and downs here, but we're trying to focus on the ups. We'll do what we can to help you get back in gear. And, hey, at least it's cereal and not something really bad. Are you planning on having hubby take a pic monthly to mark your progress? Or at least every 2-3 months? It helps to see the changes in the pictures that you can't always see otherwise. Oh, and I'm *very* chatty myself, so don't worry about being a chatterbox. We need more chatting here.
Jess - glad the new med is working out for you! For the picture, click your UserCP at the top of the page. It'll be right there where people give reps (or where you can see the reps you gave other people). Oh, didn't know if you had seen this; Kat had posted info about VCU getting a grant to do more research on pcos. Not sure how far this is from you, or if you'd be interested: http://www.vcu.edu/pcos/research.html
Christine - I think D is starting to look a lot like you. Actually, he seems like a great blend of you both. Did D have those cheeks that C does?? I can't remember. So so cute, the both of them. It is hard figuring points when others cook, but you sound like you're handling it ok. Is your MIL staying longer? That offer from your FIL, how nice. What a sweetie.
So we thought Sammy was getting better. We added a smidge of his kibble this morning. Bad idea!! It's too soon and he puked (among other things). He's off to the vet as soon as we can do it; he should be better by now. And now, instead of him going to a kennel, we sending hubby's family to a hotel. I can't do it. I just can't stand the thought of people staying here with him being like this. I don't feel like the house is clean enough, kwim? I mean, it is, but I feel like it won't be clean enough for company until this passes and I can do a nice deep clean again and keep it that way.
I started to get a touch of what they both had, but luckily, so far (knock on wood), I'm pretty ok. I have my immodium ready! lol
I'm off to find out the points for what I had for dinner. We ate out, so I have a feeling it's not going to be pretty.
I probably won't be able to get on here until tomorrow night (maybe). If you don't hear from me, I'll be back next Wednesday sometime if I don't get a chance in the next few days.
TTYL

My Mood: Points: 9,774.54 Bank: 0.05 Total Points: 9,774.59 | Diane- Thanks for the kind welcome! Yep, having hubby take progress pictures for me. Is the flu going around your house? Yikes...well at least you can only get that certain flu once. I'm the same way as you, I'm a complete neat freak, we just bought our house and it's what we like to call "paneled paradise" and it drives me nuts because paneling just makes the entire room look dirty IMO. So it feels like I can spend the entire day cleaning and scrubbing and it still looks dirty.
I tried to plan out my menu for today...I got a rough idea of what I'm going to make, so I have to stick to my guns. I'm just not going to be anal about it as I usually am...I have to stop thinking about it so much.

Jess -- thanks!
Diane -- oh your poor pup! I hope he's better soon.
I think I'm doing OK with eating...and I'm so motivated because I know it works for me. I think I'll have a decent loss when I weigh in on Monday. I keep telling myself that I can be in my 150s by the time the students get here in the fall, and then I'll be pretty close to a 10. AF is here (seriously -- at 7 weeks postpartum and nursing :rolleyes ). I am just shaking my head over that one. With D, I didn't get AF until he was 12 months old. She apparently eats more at once because she sleeps for longer stretches. It'll be interesting to see if AF stays regular like it did after D.

My Mood: Points: 9,774.54 Bank: 0.05 Total Points: 9,774.59 | Kiko's- My little one just turned 2 last month...ah the terrible twos...I'm living it.
Yesterday I didn't do horrible with eating, but I really could have done better. My chicken didn't thaw out as quick as I had hoped so I had to think of other things to make meals with, which threw me off. Today is going to be a stressful day because it's stormy today and I have to think of indoor activities that will keep the two year old's tiny attention span. Wish me luck lol. I'm going to start out with a healthy breakfast and hope that the rest of the day will follow.

My Mood: Points: 9,774.54 Bank: 0.05 Total Points: 9,774.59 | Jess- I watched it too trying to get some motivation going....but yesterday I watched all the episodes of Big Medicine on TLC and I caught a glimpse into the future when they had this one woman who had the same body shape as me (only 200lbs more). My stomach got really sick and I jumped on the elliptical machine. Now THAT'S insperation. I want to lose all 140lbs without the aid of surgery like my doctor wants to do. She keeps hinting at it and I keep telling her no. Because A. my insurance doesn't cover it and B. even if she could get it covered I just can't stand the thought of peices inside of me missing...I freaked out when they removed my adnoids, I can't imagine what it would do to me if they took part of my tummy.(I don't think they actually take out part of the tummy, but it will still feel that way to me) Now if I lose it all I won't hesitate to let them take the saggy skin...they can have that lol. Maybe if it gets really bad I'll look into the band, but I'm going to do it au naturel for now.

My Mood: Points: 17,171.96 Bank: 799,792.52 Total Points: 816,964.48 | Hey ladies!!!
Just wanted to pop in real quick, see what's doing.
I've been having a great time with my sisters. We went to see 'Wicked' yesterday - fabulous!! I've also been an emotional wreck since hubby's retirement. LOL I filled up a few times during the ceremony, but he got me with his speech. However, I still hadn't really let it all out, kwim? So it was festering, just waiting for me to have a good cry. Didn't happen. One sister starting talking about the ceremony on the train the other night, something that she thought was really touching, and I started tearing up. lol I let some of it out in the shower yesterday morning. Then yesterday, we hit a cancer survivor garden and I lost it a little more there. I am SO thankful to still have my sister with us. She IS a survivor, and being there with her, and thinking of the family we've lost from it, it was pretty emotional. So then we got something to eat, went to see 'Wicked' and had a lot of laughs there. However, by the time we got home, I was *exhausted*. And that let everything come out on the drive home with hubby (he picked us up at the train station). I think I'm ok now, and hopefully done with it.
I haven't stepped on the scale in a few days. I'm not worried about it right now. I figure if I've eaten too much, I've definitely walked it off!! I haven't eaten a LOT, just not the lower calorie/fat that I normally do. I've eaten smaller portions, which is good. Case in point - went to the Outback the first night they got here. What did they order? The bloomin' onion!! yikes!! I only had 4 pieces of it, then proceeded to eat my salad. And let me tell you, that was a HUGE accomplishment because I absolutely love onions cooked like that (onion ringy).
Anyway, we decided to take today off from the city. Hubby and I are going to meet up with my sisters later today and just hang out in the area. Then go out to eat. Tomorrow, we're hitting some outlet malls before we bring them to the airport.
Sammy is doing a LOT better (thanks!). We kept him on white rice for a few days with a small spoonful of pumpkin mixed in. We were finally able to stop the pumpkin and start adding his regular food again Saturday morning.
Hope everyone is well. I should be back sometime tomorrow night. TTYL

My Mood: Points: 5,551.09 Bank: 689,744.04 Total Points: 695,295.13 | Reza~Well after reading the book some what and watching the shows its made me feel 100% at peace with my decision. I'm actually in the waiting for lap band. I'm hoping to have surgery within the next year. I'm trying to get myself used to no soda and alot of other changes now so I can acheive my goals with the aid of the band. I've struggled my whole life and after many years (6) of Dr's pushing me to get the band and watching myself yo-yo I had to make the decision. I toss back and forth for the past 6 years over bypass, sleeve, band etc etc. This is a hard road and by no means will the band be my answer. Its going to be a tool I use in my life style change. Good luck to you and I know you'll be able to reach your goals!!!
Diane~ (((((HUGS))))) Sounds like you are on a roller coaster of emotions! Glad Sammy is feeling better!
