Default New Birds Eye Veggies

I saw this when I went to the grocery store on Sunday. Birds Eye Steam and Serve vegatables, they are in there own tray you just pop them in the microwave and serve. I got all 4 of them. They had Lemon Pepper veggies, Beans with a Twist, Spring Vegatables with Citrus Sauce and Italian Herb Harvest Veggies. I think they are really good and they are quick to pop into the microwave and serve with dinner. Good for you and great flavor. I got mine at Publix grocery store they were on sale for 2/$5.00. This was the first time I saw them and they say NEW on the box... so just wanted to let you cysters know about them and you might want to give them a try with dinner one night.

Wendy I to tried these recently and they were really good. I tried them after getting some coupons for them on www.thecouponclippers.com (this is where i get all my grocery coupons) anyways you should see if she still has coupons available so you can get even a better deal.

Nice! Thanks for the heads up. I've really been wanting to get a steamer, but I'm too busy paying for the food to even think about getting another kitchen gadget. That's really handy!

I just bought a steamer, and I LOVE it! Love, love, love! Just dump the veggies in, and in a few minutes you've got hot steamy veggies. I've also used it to steam rice. This weekend, I'm going to steam fish.

Using a steamer and fresh veggies is probably going to be cheaper than buying the Birdseye frozen veggies. However, if you're in a hurry and want something quick, Birdseye is the way to go.

Oh, and the flavour combinations with a steamer are endless. Try green beans with cherry tomatoes, garlic and thyme. Sprinkle with a little coarse salt and lime juice before serving. YUM!!

Tonight for dinner I had the Beans with a Twist and loved them. They had 3 different beans in there and they had cranberries and lots of flavor, I will be buying more of that one. Loved it!

I steam a lot of vegies, both fresh and frozen (frozen veges are much more nutritious and appetising than they used to be!) I like the Birdseye "Steam Fresh" range that we can get here in Australia. They come in individual serve bags that you just toss in the microwave, so even if you're having a lazy night, you can still have fresh veges with a little cold meat or something.

I hope we get these flavoured ranges you mentioned here soon - they sound yummy!
