Hi, my names Annie and my family and I just moved here about 3 months back.. I live in Crestmead and was wondering if any other mummies live close by?? I am asking cause I would love to start a play group at my house so my little 10 month old son can mix with other children, and so I can actually have some adult conversation, I know no one here!! so it's kinda lonely being home all day with no one to talk to, the reason being for having one at my house is well I don't have a licence so I can't drive. Is there anyone interested? ?

Smilie, I am from Mackay orignally, We moved down here cause DH got a job. I have no family here, well DH brother and gf and baby live across the road, but they both work full time and I don't think we are "cool" enough to hang around anyways judging by his gf's ways. Plus all my son does is push around their daughter who is 3 months younger then him, lol. I have no clue where redland bay is! lol. Is it far??

Gotta love family lol I have a cousin out near Ipswich and I've only seen her once in the 2 years I've been here, they wanted our moving boxes for their move. I feel so used LOL
Redland Bay is out by the coast. I think it's about a 25 min drive to where you are. Maybe we could meet at the shops near your place for lunch or something sometime. There's a little coffee shop by the post office, if it's still there. lol
Have you contacted playgroup Australia about starting a playgroup? Not sure what their guidelines are though. I'd suggest getting into swimming lessons to meet people but it might be kind of difficult to get to without a car? I take DD to a swim school in Loganholme. There's a play center down the road, not sure how easy it is to get to by bus. It's called Wriggle It, good for after Zach is crawling.
