Hi,
You have no idea how releaved and happy I'm to have found this site and hear from my Canadian soulcysters.
I'm from Toronto, Ontario and hoplessly looking for a good family doctor and getting my life on track.
Status:
way too over weight
depressed
have PCOS (obviously !)
Hairy as hell
lost so much of my beautiful curls and hardly have any hari left on my head.
Trying new doctors and better solutions. Wish me luck.
Sorry, nothing positive at this point except this site :-)
I'm sure you will find lots of great information and support on this site. I also belong to a PCOSA list for Canadian women. It seems to get more traffic then this particle area of soulcysters so you might want to check out.
Trust me I know what it is like to have nothing positive to say..
I am in Edmonton, AB but would love to be a friend from over here. If you ever need anyone to talk to about PCOS or life in general please know I am here. it is always great to have someone that knows a bit of what you are going thru.
Plus, I figure the more friends you have in this world the less enimies you have..
Welcome
Julie

You are right, this is an amazing resource, and there is no measurement to how comforting it is to know there are other women so much like you. I know before I first came here, I was convinced that I was completely alone in how I felt about myself and my "abnormal" body. I really hope you find some informative sources and friends among the many awesome cysters.

God does not call the qualified. He qualifies the called.
You didn't mention if you were TTC, but this is a link to my doctor's website. She's wonderful and I don't know if you even have to be TTC to see her...
Hi Bookwarms,
Thank you, this is going to sound very stupid but what is TTC? Does it have anything to do with fertility?
If it does, I'm not sure. I'm not planning to get pregnant until sometime next year.
BookWorms Hi Bluewaters. Welcome to soulcysters!

Hello LadyBugg,
You are so right. There are some wonderful people here on this site. I'm so glad to have become a member and hope can give back something back in return to this site and its members.
:-)
LadyBugg Welcome Bluewaters!

Hi,
How sweet of you to offer your friendship. It's greatly appreciated. I'd like to return the favor too. Hope things look up for all of us in near future.

Yes, TTC stands for "Trying to Conceive". Dr. Williams is an OB/GYN and specializes as well in Reproductive Endocrinology. If you're planning to get pregnant next year, it doesn't hurt to start working towards it now in terms of getting as healthy as possible before then...anyways, it was just a suggestion if you're looking for a doctor.
Whereabouts in Toronto are you?
