![]() | i was diagnosed with pcos about 5 months ago and i was told i have pre cancerous cells on my cervix i went and had a biopsy done and luckly it came back negative my doctor told me to lose weight and i would probably get pregnant i lost 50 pounds and went back and every time i go back he just tells me to lose more weight and i'll conceive he has prescribed any medications for me all he says is when i lose enough weight he'll consider putting me on fertility drugs to help me conceive. Im 21 it took my older sister who is 27 6 years to conceive her first baby and she lost it at 6 months she started going in to labor and they could stop it her uterus had thinned out that was a year and a half ago and she still has not got pregnant again my younger sister who also shows signs of pcos got pregant not even a year off her birth control pills she is 20 and is now 6 months pregnant and we are watching her very closely. i know i'm overweight but is my doctor right not to prescribe anything until he feels i've lost what he considers enough weight. my younger sister weighs more than I do and is at least 2 sizes bigger than I am and my doctor says if I became pregnant at my size I would be miserable and pregnancy in overweight people is more difficult and I would have a hard time with the baby. i've had the ultrasound done and both of my ovaries are covered with cysts, i don't have the excess hair but i do have the skin tags and up until this past month my periods have been pretty regular except last year when i had a cysts rupture. the emergency room told me i had an infection in my tubes but later when i went to my gyno he diagnosed me with pcos now i'm almost a month late for my period please give me some answers if you can b/c i'm exhausted trying to get any out of my doctor |

![]() | Leslie, I would honestly consider finding another doctor. I went through the same thing until I found my new doctor. My new doctor is willing to try anything that I feel that I can handle. Good Luck! Becky |
