Okay.. So i just got diagnosed on April 4 2008.. I am not too sure about all of this because not only did i get diagnosed with that i have a whole range of other issues to go along with it. I have a VERY high insulin level along with an extremely high bad cholesterol count i really need some kind of weight loss rememdy because if i dont loose weight it wil all get worse if anyone knows a way plz email me AmandaLC1990@aol.com

Hi Amanda,

I was newly diagnosed. My testosterone level is high, my insulin level was a little high, cholesterol was 175. But, the only thing I can tell you is to go on a diabetic diet... low GI diet. That is what I am trying to do. But, you need to get healthy the way you feel right. I would talk to your doctor about a wonderful diet plan. I bought some books on Amazon.com that is suppose to have wonderful diets for PCOS. One of them was super expensive. It is called The Dietitian's Guide to Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS) by Angela Grassi... Hopefully it was money worth spent.

Hi Amanda!

You might look into the Insulin Resistance Diet. I started this diet a week ago and have lost 7 pounds. It's a very simple method of linking and balancing carbs and protein along with portion control. It seems to work well for cysters!

Whatever you try, good luck! There are so many supportive cysters here! Find a diet buddy thread and join. Best decision I've made, lol.
