Default New with a couple of med questions.

Hi everyone. I was diagnosed with mild PCOS yesterday. I'm actually okay and optimistic about it right now, but I'm sure the other feelings will come in waves. I started taking Provera last Thursday, was RX 5 days worth. I was wondering how long it has taken for AF to show after stopping it? Yesterday was my last dose. I'm also started taking Metformin as well. I'm on 1000mg and will move up to 1500mg. Just hoping that AF shows soon, this has been a really long cycle. TIA

welcome to the boards... it takes a few days after provera for things to move and function the way that the meds make them run. If it takes longer than that, call the doctor and see what he/she says... but really... it shouldn't take that long.

I found out that I have PCOS a few months ago. I was also prescribed provera. From my experiences with it, I've found that it takes 3-10 days for it to work.
