Red face new cyster... any advice

Hello. I was diagnosed in 2003. I have a daughter who was born in 2002. But I've gained a lot of weight since her birth, causing my PCOS to pretty much ruin my life. I've had 2 miscairrages since - and have just recently thrown my metformin scripts away. I was taking it for 6 months and my fasting insulin levels went from 13 to 24! So, now I'm taking Vitex, Chromium, B vitamins. Hoping it works - I just want to get my insulin levels down for now, but would like to try for another pregnancy when everything is under control and I lose a little more weight. I'm looking for any suggestions - any body have any more herbs that are good to take? Is it okay to mix them?
Please fill me in - I think this site is great!!!

Question also- about metformin...

Also wondering if anyone has had the same experience with metformin? My insulin levels almost doubled over 6 months - and from what i hear they should have gone down. Has this happened to anyone else?

If your insulin levels seem to go up all the time despite of metformin it might suggest that you might need insulin treatment.

It's really important that your sugar levels stay down and they won't if you quit metformin. It could be a sign that metformin doesn't work if the levels stay high or even climb more. Always consult your doctor before making any changes in your medication. Always.
