Default New to Cysters, Diagnosed a year ago.

Hello!
I'm new to Soul Cysters and fairly new to PCOS. I would just like to meet some people and perhaps talk and share stories. It's been a journey and I've finally really accepted what I have and want to life to the fullest with it. I'm open to new diet and exercise regimes. What pills work and haven't, whatever information you're willing to share, I'm willing to hear.

Thank you!!

Hi! I am new to soulcysters too and was diagnosed last nov08 with PCOS. I also spent most of last year in denial, but the diagnoses was reconfirmed in June when I was referred to a fertility dr. I was on MET for almost a year and hated every minute of it and just finally stopped taking it. I also tried 2 rounds of clomid with NO luck. The fertility dr i am going to I don't like, she's rude and unprofessional and I am trying to find a new one. I am trying hyponidd and insitol right now as there are many positive stories from other cysters that I have read and thought what the heck it's worth a try. So we will see if it helps.

I tried Clomid before and had no response to it. DH and myself decided to just take it as it comes. We are currently taking Provera then switching to Clomid, for 3 cycles, 100mg to see if it might work. If not we decided to just "lay off it" for a while and only take Provera every 3 months.

Hello ladies I am new to this site also, and I new with pcos diagnosed in March this year. I was just wondering if I am in a class all by myself because I told my ob/gyn I was ttc before she even put me on meds. To make a long story short--she put me on bcp (fencon) what a nightmare! I hated taking those, shortly I was sent to an endocrin sp and he put me on metformin (whoo-hoo) it did exactly as he said it would it brought back a missing period, but one thing he told me confused me. He stated I was pre-diabetic with thyroid issues and high cholesterol with perfect blood pressure and that I should wait to have a baby, becoming hysterical I screamed HOW LONG! Well to answer that question I am still waiting. I stopped the bcp in July and in Aug metformin brought my period, I am taking a load of meds and trying to keep sane. I want to concieve what exactly am I waiting for? I know I need to ask my doc but I was hoping someone could clue me in.

I wish I could answer that one....cuz I seem to be in the same boat......I have been seeing a fertility specialist since june 09 and all she has done is a bunch of tests, u/s, d&c with exploratory hysterscopy (spelling??) and still nothing and she hasn't even told me when we would start except that I need to lose weight and we will review in dec.......welll I am going to see a new dr in a couple of weeks so we will see what she says maybe I will get somewhere with her.....I am 33 and my husband is 49 I don't feel like I can wait any longer!!!!

Hi my name is kendra and i am new to the site as well i was diagnosed six years ago when i was 12. I feel as though this hole PSOC is a endless road. I am trying really hard to grasp the reality of it and accept the fact that it is part of who i am. I know that i have had it for a while and should of gotten the reality of it but i feel as when one problem gets under controll anther problem starts. I am trying my hardest to keep my head high and my dreams alive. If you have any advice or just stories to tell i would appriciate. Thank you Have a great day
