I had early changes, I ovulated on my own the 1st cycle, on cd18. Im currently in the 2ww, 5 days to go till AF is due.

I think of my source of DCI as free. I actually make bread and eat it for breakfast and an afternoon snack, so I get 1/4 c twice a day. I would spend more money on regular food than I do on buckwheat ferinetta, so its like its FREE. I know some people cannot stomach the food versions, but I love it and it makes me feel great. That leads me to the other improvements, Im not tired all the time, I can be hungry and not have sugar crashing issues, I just feel a lot better than I used to.

Also a plus I went off metformin & fertility drugs and dont have the s/e's.

Tamii,
May I ask what's in the bread you make? I'm avoiding sugar & dairy sooo I'm curious as to what you put in it.
I'm glad to hear that it's been working for you so well! I'm very excited to try it out this month.
Thanks~Kerry

banana bread ****
1/2 c butter (I used 1/2 c unsweetened applesauce instead)
1/2 c brown sugar (I used 1T stevia instead)
3/4 t baking soda
1/2t salt (I omitted this)
1/2t ground cinnamon
1/4 t ground nutmeg
1t vanilla extract
1 1/2c (12 oz) mashed banana (about 3 med-large bananas)
1/4c (3oz) honey
2 eggwhites
2 c buckwheat ferinetta
1/2 c (2oz) chopped walnuts (I omitted this).

preheat oven to 350F. Spray canola or olive oil spray on bottom of loaf pan.

Beat together the butter, sugar, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg and vanilla in a medium bowl until smooth. Add the banana, honey and eggs, beating until smooth. Add the flour and nuts, stirring until smooth. Spoon the batter into the prepared pan and let it rest at room temperature, uncovered, for 10 min.

Bake bread for 50 min. Lay a piece of foil gently across the top, and bake until a cake tester inserted into the center comes out clean, 10-15 min more. Remove the bread from the oven, and allow it to cool for 10 min before turning it out of the pan onto a rack to cool completely.

Thanks Tamii!
The only ingredient I'm missing is the buckwheat, which I can grab on my way home tonight!

The buckwheat flour has an undisclosed amount of DCI, but the online stuff at minndak has the right amount of DCI. Let me know if you find a store brand that lists DCI as a content. Im sure it has some, but the minndak stuff has a lot and its special made in high quantities and cost just as much as the store stuff if you break it down by the pound.

I haven't found the buckwheat yet, but my DCI came in the mail from chirobalance two days ago and I've been taking it since yesterday morning. The only thing I've noticed is that it makes me feel really nauseous when I take it in the morning, not at night. It might not mix well when I take it with my other suppliments, I'm going to try taking it alone tomorrow morning and see if that helps. Anyone else have that side effect?

I take it with d3, chromium, calcium, b100, eat dci in food, and take a prenatal and no s/e's, but I order mine through minndak online. Here is the orderform for the 4 lb bag of buckwheat ferinetta https://www.minndak.com/_vti_bin/sht.../orderform.htm

When I called and talked to the doctor on staff at minndak, he said because its food there will not be s/e's like with the suppliment form. I make banana bread every 4 days, so far Im not sick of it. I eat it for breakfast everyday. Best of luck.

Question Discover Nutrition D chiro Inositol- Anyone taken it?

Hi,
have started taking Discover Nutrition D chiro inositol. Has anyone taken it?
Am wondering whether it is as good as chiral balance....it is much cheaper.

I am wanting to conceive as lost babay 22 weeks into pregnancy 1 year ago (natural conception...dunno how tht happened!!) but have had no luck conceiving as yet again.

Have period about every 2 months.... but it won't stop when it starts and have ended up taking progesterone to stop it. Was also put on clomid but found it made me have awful mood swings... I only took ot for 3 days...that was enough.

So have started taking Discover nutrition DCI yesterday after reading about it starting ovulation (not sure whether I ovulate or not....sometimes have large amounts of cervical mucas- a stretchy- but never seem to fall pregnant when that happens)

Anyhow my hopes are high for DCI. Also taking a natural HGH.... natropath put me onto this....Don;t know if it does anything but will give it a go.

YOu said it is much cheaper, the Discover Nutrition you have to take twice as many pills to get the same mg. as Chiralbalance. That means it takes 2 bottles per month instead of 1 if you are doing 1200 mg daily, and 4 capsules instead of 2, because Chiralbalance is 600 mg and DN is 300 mg per pill. Maybe you already know that, but that could make a big difference on how it worked for you if you was taking only half as much as you thought you were!

Thanks Herbsgirl. I am in Australia so the postage is really the deciding factor with Chiralbalance. They charge me $32.00 postage. Iherb only charge me $12.00.

But I will have to work it all out I think......

Make sure you notice that the ones from this site are only 300 mg capsules, so you have to order/take twice as many as you would of the Chiral Balance.

Also, someone's signatura on one of the DCI posts gives a discount on Chiral Balance which makes that come out a bit cheapter (I think it is $10 off, so would make it $46 per bottle, which would be the same as two of these bottles for $50... not sure though, they send me a discount code I use by e-mail).

If you are looking to save $$$, I have started taking 1 DCI and 1 inositol. Not sure if it is working yet, but they are related and the theory is that even if your body can't convert the inositol very effectively, it should be able to convert some of it... and that is super cheap!
