Default New and devastated

Hi,
I am new to this board and for the first time I have found people I can relate to. People who can understand why I dont have boyfriends (due to fearing showing my gorilla legs..) why I am depressed,(am on Zoloft) not to mention my severe acne I sufferd from for 13 years...I dont know if to laugh or cry anymore, I do both. can someone help me? Live in sweden at the mo but am a student in bristol uk and will be back the 15th of sep. Are there any cysters in bristol? in sweden? can someone recommend a good doctor in the bristol area? am horrified as my last doctor in bristol told me to "just shave my legs and stop whinging since the real problems will begin when I will try to concive..." I politely told her that with my complex and low self esteem I will never ever even have the chance of conciving unless its me and virgin Mary.... Can someone please guide me, suggest medicine, treatment, diat etc? I would be most grateful since feel so lonely with this. I promise to give you all my support in return
lots ot love

You are in the right place, Carro. Welcome here. You will find so many here who can relate. And who have learned to live with this and not let it get them down. It is possible.

I'm glad you found us.

Your doctor sounds like she doesn't have the best bedside manner. You do need a new doctor pronto, kiddo.

There are cysters all over the world...try perusing and posting the pen pal section. Also, there is a UK cyster section here. Good luck.

I had horrible acne which left scars...and I got treated for it (acne) plus got the scars treated. There is always hope.

Remember, how do you eat an elephant? ONE BITE AT A TIME.

You need to put one foot in front of the other...take one step at a time.

Welcome aboard!

Default we r here for u!

hi hun,

i just wanna say that i know exactly what u are going through!!! I too have gorilla legs with a face to match them! i too am scared to show anyone my body because of the fear that i may be laughed at by people......but i still manage to have self esteem.....this is because of the people around me help me to believe in myself. My advice to you is nto try & believe in yourself and then people will sense your confidence and tehy will b attracted to you. You are a beautiful person inside and if u ealise that you are beautiful on the outside then you will be ok!!!! just pick a couple of things on your body that you like and work on it...i like my eyes so i always try to make them look good...it make me feel better!

well neway take care & try and make yourself realise that u r beautiful!

luv
