I went undiagnosed for 11 years because I was thin and didn't "look" like I had PCOS according to the doctors. There is alot of thin discrimination because it seems like all doctors think if you have a legitimate case of PCOS you will be overweight. I've heard recently that the thin women who have PCOS may actually have more severely resistant cases of PCOS. Find yourself a good doctor who knows what he is doing! They are few and far between. The ones I've seen in the past (Up until the one I am at now who specializes in PCOS and knows alot), I had to educate in what is most recently been discovered about PCOS. Most doctors know very little about the new breakthroughs in PCOS research.
