Hello all,

I was just diagnosed 7 mos ago and was told I am full of cysts. At first I was thrilled that I FINALLY figured out what was going on with the cramps, weight gain, and acne. I am on Metformin 1000MG/day. I changed my diet and restarted jogging and have lost NOTHING for weight. I also have hot flashes (at age 30). I went back to my doctor to be told I should not have hot flashes and that there is nothing that can help further. Does this sound right? Should I see a PCOS specialist? I live in South Florida and would love some help.

welcome to sc could you see a different dr instead?? i had to change dr to get some pcos help. there is a link to the newbie roadmap in my siggie for you

I put in PCOS specialist in Southern Florida in google, and actually *laughs* found a link to this site... check out the thread... Pcos Specialist In South Florida

I am going to try a different MD. I was thinking this might be the way to go, but it is helpful to read about others who are going through the same experiences.
