According to what I've read, a lot of times loosing weight can jump-start your periods. My doctor said loosing even 5-10% of your body weight can have an enormous effect on the symptoms of PCOS, which for a lot of us is 'absence of periods.' So it might mean that you're doing well loosing weight and your cycles are headed back to normal!
Also, I've heard, yet not experienced, that sometimes women with PCOS will ovulate once in a while, even though they do not ovulate regularly. That would trigger a mensus.
On more option, that I am aware of: I know when I go for a long time without a period (when I am not taking my prometrium), my body will decide it's time to shed the uterine lining even though I have not ovulate. The periods I have like this are really strange, but it is similar to a regular period.
I hope this helps! |
