Default New Girl : Kept Gaining Weight w/ Lots of Activity

I've always struggled with my weight since I was a little girl. I eloped to Houston and put on 50 more lbs. I always blamed it on my hubby. My husband is sterile, so there's no chance of children.... so I never went to the gyno...

Being that I'm self employed, I also never had GOOD insurance.... I finally got an insurance to cover me.. so I went to the gyno..

Well that all went wrong.. all she wanted to do was put me on birth control and Xenical to lose weight... she didn't test for PCOS at all..

I got a personal trainer.. and got active.. burning 5000-6000 calories per week. NO WEIGHT LOSS.. and a binge eating day once a week was 2500 calories when I felt depressed or something.. otherwise... 1500-1700 calories..

Then in May I got a never ending period that lasted all the way through the end of June. I went to a great OBGYN.. and she has diagnosed me with PCOS..
and my journey begins.

I just got the PCOS diagnosis over the phone yesterday... so I brought up metformin with them at noon... and am hoping to hear back by the end of the day that they've called in my prescription...

Sorry you got off to a rough start. Hopefully now that you have a good doc, things will get better.
