hi,
my name is mimi and i'm new to the group. i was diagnosed with pcos in october 2003. i was 23 at the time and i thought my world had fallen all around me. in december 2004, i had a miscarriage. it was hard for me. i didn't even know i was pregnant. i was told i couldn't get pregnant without medication yet there i was 6 weeks pregnant and miscarrying. i was devastated to say the least. i can't make people understand how i feel. i can't talk about it except to my ex-boyfriend. it's because of him that i know about pcos, but even that's weird for me. the baby wasn't his, so it's hard. i'm 25 and i can't get pregnant. i'm healthy, overweight yes, but still healthy. my best friend has pcos too but it's different for her. everyone is different. she was told she is fertile and she can get pregnant, so just when i thought i had someone to relate to, it was shot down again! i try to smile and be happy. i keep telling myself i got pregnant once, so it can happen again. but all my friends are pregnant and having babies or already have babies and it's hard to be supportive! i just want someone to support me......mimi
Mimi, I am so sorry you have to go through all of this. It really does help to have a good supportive group of people to surround yourself with when something like this happens. That's why I come here. These women are just incredible. We are all here for you, and if you need to talk, give me a holler either on the boards or via message.
*lots of hugs*
Angela

Mimi,
Welcome. I'm sorry about your baby. Obviously your doctor was wrong about your fertility, so don't lose hope for another child. You might need another doctor who will be more supportive and help you carry the next one all the way. Give yourself some time, though. Just because everyone else has babies around you doesn't mean you have to be ready to try again. I hope that you can find someone else to talk to about your loss, but otherwise, we'll be here anytime.
Lots of Hugs,
Sheri

Mimi,
Welcome to SoulCysters. I am sorry about your loss. I have found that the women on this board are SO supportive and always lift me up when I am down. Please post here to vent/rant/whatever anytime.

((HUGS)). I'm sorry about your little one. The part about you not being able to get pregnant did make me smile - the month before I conceived my son, I was told to have a hysterectomy because my ovaries were so painful/cystic! Rivelino didn't survive, but he left me with a lot of hope for the future.
Be gentle with yourself, and I wish you baby dust when you're finally ready.
