I was diagnosed summer of 2008, after ttc for 6 months the gyn did some tests (I think she had a suspicion of my PCOS) and well...here I am. Since my diagnosis, everything has been a whirlwind. I was told to correct my diet, do more exercise, and lose weight. Ok sure...if only it was that easy.

I had a laproscopy in December 08, which really did not find much except a cyst and pallop. Both which were not a big deal to the RE. Just started metformin last week. Next week I have an ultrasound so the RE can see my ovulation. And of course countless blood tests! The RE will not prescribe Clomid until DH gets tested. So that is our next step. I really hope that 2009 will be good to us.

Any advice or information is very helpful. I am still quite confused about what all is going on. But I am more upset about the diagnosis than worried. Just makes me feel like I did something wrong. It is not supposed to be this difficult to start a family.

Thanks for listening.

Hi and welcome! Don't be too discouraged...now that you are seeing an RE and have a plan, your chances for success are good! I got nowhere on my own, but within months of seeing the RE and getting on meds I had my BFP. The TTC boards are really informative and helpful. It made my ttc journey a lot easier. Good luck!
