I'm new to the site, but am already so very glad I found it! Purely by 'accident', too. I was diagnosed in 1995 at 17. I've been on BC since then for regulation and whatnot. I've noticed that some symptoms have gotten better, and that I've learned to live with others better.
From peeking around the message board, I'm finding a LOT of stuff that I didn't know could be affected/caused by PCOS. It's nice to know that I'm not strange, and not alone. Thank you to everyone who is so very honest and open; I've learned more in 10 minutes than I have in the 10 years since my Dx.
And tonight, I take my first Met....apparently this is the greatest thing since sliced bread? I love my doc -- she's honest and interested and will get me pregnant someday, she says.

Dx: Fourteen years! 01/1995 at 17
Meds:
Metformin 2000 mg, Pre-natals, Caltrate
Dx with insufficient uterine lining and very low progesterone levels.
1 month of premarin and progesterone before clomid
8/08-9/08 1st clomid cycle = no O
9/5/08 referred to RE and fertility clinic
9/16/08 first appointment with RE
October 08-April 09 worked up to 200 mg Clomid. Consistently ovulating and now praying for better timing.
