Hey Vincent! Welcome to the hubbies forum & SoulCysters! I have to second Rhoadie on this one... there are a couple of really good books-
PCOS: The Hidden Epidemic, Dr Samuel Thatcher, and
Living with PCOS by Angie Best-Boss. The Thatcher book is a really well-written book, has a lot of very difficult concepts put in a way that is understandable.
In terms of getting a diagnosis for PCOS & my DW, well, honestly? It was more of a relief that we had a name to go with the symptoms. Was the kind of thing like, we knew something was wrong, but didnt have a Dx for several years.
In any case, if you have questions or need help dealing with anything (whatever, very little is out-of-bounds here) we're all here to help each other as we can.
Best of luck, and let us know how things are going-
