Default New Here

Thought I better introduce myself since I think this is one of the boards for me. I'm Anne and I'm 21. I was diagnosed with PCOS and had a 7-week m/c in July. I've been dating Kyle for around 2 years and he is the love of my life. I grew up with a very strong/conservative background of Catholicism and still consider it a very good base for my religion life. Some of the things that I have done are looked down upon but as Christians we are a forgiving society so anyways--that is me and I'm glad I found this board--I feel a sense of calm/peace when I'm here.

Talking

In Him our hearts rejoice, For we trust in His

holy name. May your unfailing love rest upon us,

O Lord, even as we put our hope in you.

Psalm 33:21-22
Welcome Anne! Glad you are here! Yes, unfortunately we as humans make mistakes that are sinful. Thats exactly why we need Jesus! Thats why he suffered severely, why he died on that cross, why He arose for us, and why He ascended back to Heaven and still lives. Because we aren't perfect...we are human and make mistakes. Sometimes the same ones over and over again. While its our job to try to correct our mistakes and "sin no more" as it says in the Bible, the good part is that when we do make those mistakes and sin we have a loving and merciful God who is right there to forgive us if we are truely sorry. I don't think your sins are any bigger than my sins or anyone elses. We all fall short. So never think that your any less. Just know that Jesus loves you, and wants a personal relationship with you. That means praying and reading Gods word so you can get to know Him.

Glad your here!

Welcome Anne! There are quite a few other Catholics here who are very supportive and suffering right along with you, as well as wonderful Christians of other denominations. Let me know if you need any help/support/answers, I'm happy to help!
blessings, Kara

Well, I'm not married so I'm not trying to have children and what I can tell clomid is a fertility drug. I've never tried it. I did have great success using Vitex (a.k.a. chaste tree berry) but after a year or two my body grew immune to it. I've been on metformin now for almost a year and it has its pros - I've lost 30 pounds, and its cons - I had normal periods for a couple months but the last couple have reverted back to prolonged ones....
My opinion on infertility treatments is basically anything is ok as long as it doesn't separate the unitive act from the procreative act. Anything that involves fertilization outside of the womb or without the "marital act" separates God from the equation. I'm not exactly sure what clomid is but it seems around here that it has only worked for a few ladies.
How do I deal with stress?? AAAHHHHHHH screaming sometimes helps. One thing that has been an absolute Godsend to me this year is a tiny book my roommate gave me for Christmas called Thirsting for God. It's a daily devotional with a sentence or two every day written or inspired by Mother Teresa. It has put so much in perspective for me. She struggled too!! Another book I suggest is Hinds Feet in High Places by Hannah Hunnard. It's a very short book but changed my life! Especially with it's description of suffering and why it's necessary. If you're Catholic I can't recommend enough frequenting the sacrament of Reconciliation. It's such a beautiful gift and will, the more you use it, bring you great peace.
A wise priest once told me, No one wants you to know God's will more than God. I have to keep reminding myself of that constantly. His ways are a mystery but they always turn out for the best in the end. Confusion is natural but faith is giving that confusion to God - TRUST, TRUST, TRUST!
love and prayers,
Kara

Welcome to SC!

I'm also a Catholic and I love coming here to chat with Swingin'Cyster. She's been a wonderful influence on me and my faith.

I am a momma also and have used clomid (it's OK for us Catholics). I used clomid & met to get my latest miracle (who'll be 9 months old soon).

This forum is really great and everyone is REALLY supportive over here.
