Hi! My name is Megan and I'm new to the board. Although I'm not officially diagnosed with PCOS my PCP suggested I could possibly have it. I made an appt with Gyn but I couldn't get an appt until June 4th. So as of right now I am patiently waiting. In my mind I always kind of thought I might have PCOS because I have all the classic symptoms. I know I should have went to the Gyn sooner but I just recently got health insurance. And then I started getting scared what if it's something more than PCOS. It didn't help that I did get my period and it lasted for almost 3 1/2 weeks. I did end up going to the ER just to make sure nothing more serious was happening. The blood work and exam they did were normal so I was kind of relieved after that. But right now I am waiting for this appt to get here and hopefully finally get an answer to if I have PCOS or not. I did have one question if anyone answer. I have slightly elevated liver enzymes last year and then just recently again. I did have blood work in between that and it was normal. I was searching on the web and saw a few articles where elevated liver enzymes does happen in women with PCOS. I was just wondering if anyone has had this or knows of someone who does. It's a relief that this board is here for women who need to know they are not alone in this. Thanks!

Hi Megan, welcome to SoulCysters!! I have elevated liver enzymes as well, too, but have only had that checked once - very recently.
