I am new to here but not to PCOS. I've read here but never posted. I was diagnosed with PCOS 2 years ago. We have an almost 3 year old who was conceived with no help at all. He is my miracle little man. I take 1500 mg of Metformin daily (3x daily) and have lost weight with exercise and diet changes, but I still have a lot to lose. I have added Vitex this month at the highest dose suggested on the bottle (6 pills a day). We're ready to have another child and are doing everything we can to make that happen. I had a clear HSG and do not have excess testosterone. Hopefully, losing weight will help. I've avoided this site because I couldn't access it from where I work because of the server here, but now we have a Verizon air card and can access it at work. My husband and I are houseparents at a group home and LOVE every minute of it.
Hi and welcome. I am new here also and I am finding so much encouragement being around other women who understand what I have been dealing with for 14 years. My husband and I are hoping to start trying for our first this month. We will see if I can ovulate. I recently started on metformin and synthroid. Hopefully we too will have a miracle little one in the near future.
Hi! Like CalebsMome, I too am new to posting on this site, but not to PCOS. I was diagnosed in 2001, however for the last 4 years it went untreated thanks to no health insurance. Luckily - amazingly - my health didn't see a huge impact from the lapse in treatment. I look forward to making new friends who share similar experiences as me, and learning more about becoming healthier everyday!
