Hi I am new here.I was diagnosed with PCO in my teens and I have had this for over 25 years.I have three children in which 2 were concieved with fertility treatments and one without.She was a big surprise. Anyhow,i have never been treated for PCO besides my fertility treatment. My doc never gave me anything for this.I was on provera when my periods became irregular,but stopped taking it because of huge weight gain. My weight has been an issue for life. My blood sugar levels have never been a problem either. Now that i am in my 40's i get very shaky,experience extreme headaches,and periods so heavy and clotted that i am beside myself. An ultrasound revieled nothing. I don't know what to do as the doctor does,nt seem to think pco is a serious thing.My periods were always irregular but are now heavy,clotting and frequent.I am also getting alot of acne and hair on my face.Anyone experience this and what should my next step be?

...I've never had heavy periods, but the normal PCOS symptoms, hair, acne, weight, my blood sugar is always fine too. Keep doing research online for all your symptoms, etc. & make appt's w/ some diff. drs., to say what they think & if they will run more tests to take it seriously. Very happy to hear you were able to have children!
