Post New here

I am 22 and am currently being tested for POCS after suffering from a miscarriage and displaying other syptoms (excess hair, irregular, heavy periods) Feel I bit confused and alone about the whole thing as after this all started my boyfriend of two years left me saying he 'couldn't handle it'-nice eh?

The pregnancy wasn't planned and if I think about it wouldn't have necessarily been the best thing to happen to me at this time of my life but it doesn't stop me experiencing feelings of loss and being scared what lies ahead. Is it normal to feel this way?

Would appreciate any feedback from those UK cysters who have been experiencing this for longer. Thanksx

Hi Belle
Welcome to Soulcysters. I'm so sorry to hear what you've been going through.
Like you I've experienced miscarriage. I don't think whether it was a planned pregnancy or not ould lessen the impact - it's a terrible experience for anyone.
PCOS can be a scary diagnosis, but there are ways of dealing with it. Read through the boards here and you'll see lots of advice.
Do you have a good gp? That's a big asset, I changed mine to a doctor who would listen.
Good luck, feel free to pm me anytime.
Love

Thanks-nice to know others are out there:-)

I just find the whole thing a bit scary and upsetting and then I think maybe I am being stupid because its not life threatening or anything.

A few weeks ago I had never even heard of POCS until my GP referes me to a gyn so I just feel hugely overwhelmed and uninformed

Hi everyone

I've just noticed how many Scots there are on here - we should be settingup a support group for us!

just wanted to say hi, having a quick look in on a wet Sunday. Hope you are all well, I've been sticking to the Herbal way and trying to stick to Low Carb diet, it's not been easy as I was working away Wed-Fri in St Andrews at a very nice hotel with lovely food. Felt awful last Saturday, not sure may have been O-ing but thats just self diagnosis.
take care
Vxx

Another Scot here! Newly registered. Diagnosed 10 years ageo and only now feel that there might be hope. Have learnt more and felt more reasured by this site than with any doctor in the last 10 years. Would love to know how other Scots have got on with the NHS etc. My doctor is sympathetic but I have the feeling I know more about than him!

Welcome Belle!

Please don't feel that because your pregnancy wasn't planned that you aren't justified to feel the way you do. Miscarriage is awful no matter what the circumstances are.

May you find answers to your questions and friendship here.

Hope to see u around on the boards.
