Hi. I'm new here (though I've been lurking for a while) and thought I should introduce myself. I'm married. I live in the UK. I was diagnosed about 6 years ago and ignored PCOS for ages after that. We've been ttc for about 2 1/2 years. I've tried herbal meds (Chinese and Western), acupuncture, acupressure, bcp (before ttc only), clomid and now I'm on met. I've also tried about a million diets, from stupid fads to Slimming World to Atkins. I'm currently doing weight watchers and, along with the met, it seems to be helping a bit with weight and maybe with symptoms too. I've got a fairly normal range of syomptoms: hair loss on head, hair gain (not a lot, but I notice it) on body/face, acne, skin tags, weight issues, hormonal mood swings (or at least that's what I tell DH lol), the usual stuff.
I've begun to totally hate the NHS. We've done mostly NHS, but did go private for one test that kept being delayed. I'm currently on a waiting list for a laproscopy. It was a 9 month wait as of April 30. So I'm currently just trying to get the weight down and focus on other stuff in life and trying to get this PCOS thing under control, if that's possible.
Basically, I'm looking for support and willing to give it to. Nice to meet you.

been ttc for 15 years..diagnosed 16 years ago...had clomid..ovarian drilling..to no avail!!.....started met jan 2002.....shock..pregnant ..baby son born 8 weeks early via emergency c-section,4th feb 2003.due to PLACENTA ABRUPTION!..(both told we are very lucky to be here), second surprise pregnancy, beautiful girl born 4 weeks early via sucessful vbac!,
update: 3rd baby born 8th august, another girl, via 2nd sucessful vbac!

Hi! I'm also fairly new here. Had a good look around the site and I'm really impressed! Thought it was going to be hard to find out info, but its pretty much all here!
It's all the different terms and abreviations that keep getting me confused. thank goodness for the post explaining them all

Hi, I am new too and amazed at how supportive everyone is! I am also on Met following the Weight watchers, i lost a stone in 10 weeks but I am really starting to struggle with the will power now and at weigh in I had put on 2lbs! Need to get back into it, how are you doing? Feel free to pm me if you like!
