Hi. I'm Melody. I was diagnosed with pcos 6 1/2 years ago, shortly after my DH and I got married.
We tried Clomid and metformin to conceive, but those didn't work. We eventually adopted. After that, I saw a new gyn - she upped my dose of the met and told me to limit my carbs and start exercising. I did, lost 65 pounds, and became pregnant. I'm breastfeeding but having supply issues - wondering if that's pcos fun. I'm also trying to figure out how to lose the rest of this baby weight so we can ttc again.
So - that's my story in a nutshell. I've been lurking here for a while, but figured I'd go ahead and post.........

Hi girls...I too am a newcomer (kind of), though not to PCOS. I diagnosed myself in 2000, brought it up to my dr, and was officially diagnosed the same year. The years that have followed have been full of weight gain, feeing icky, lots of hair growth, natural remedies, and a recent decision (well, several months) to officially start ttc. Up until now we did not try, nor try to prevent pregnancy...though either way we did not achieve pregnancy. Fast forward...now on the baby bandwagon, we are keeping our dr at the top of our "people to call" list and going through blood work, etc. Here' hoping for the baby flood gates to open up and fast. Baby dust to all of you!
