Default New here... introducing myself.

Hey girls!

I first have to say, I am overwhelmed with all the info on this board and look forward to being a complete waste of space here in the office today just so I can read through the forums!!

My name is Meghan, I am from Central CT. I was officially diagnosed with PCOS this week, although I've know it was coming for about 2 months.

My backstory:

I was on BCP for 10 years and in May of 2008 I stopped the pill in hopes to convieve by our first anniversary (which was last week). Long story short, I never got AF. I was under the care of my OB who thought that my body just needed a kick start, and I was given provera. I cycled like this for 3 cycles... each being over 60 days. Finally after the 3rd dose of provera he gave me 50mg of Clomid. That didn't work either (I chart religiously and know that I have not ovulated). I've been on Metformin for about 2 months now as well.

So I finally got in touch with an RE at Yale University who saw me on 2/2/09. She did an ultrasound my my ovaries were covered in cycts. She took TONS of blood on CD3 of my 5th cycle. It was kind of a break cycle for us since she was on vacation and I couldn't get a follow up with her until 3/2/09.

So this past monday we got a plan. Provera again to start cycle #6, 100mg Clomid, HSG, AND Ovidrel trigger (hoping and praying that this will work)

My husbands SA was "perfect" in her words, so we are thankful for that.

So here I am awaiting AF, and a hormonal mess thanks to Provera. While I am relieved to have a plan, its all so overwhelming, and I've found myself so mentally exhausted this week that I'm physically exhausted as well.

I look forward to getting to "know" you gals and hanging out here while I await a little goober!!

Meg
