Hello everyone. I'm new here. This is my story. I found out 3 years ago I had PCOS. I had never really heard of this and I didn't really know what it was or what was wrong with me. I have been doing research more lately than before. I have some of the classic symptoms but not all. I dont have a regular period. I have some facial hair but not alot, I have acne, skin tags, the dark patches on my inner thighs. I have gained a tremendous amount of weight and didn't really know what to do about it. I have now reached my all time high of 261. I went to my doc today and he said I am in the pre-diabetic stage and I have to get my weight and glucose/insulin under control. I have been trying to get pregnant for about 5 years with no luck. I have done 6 cycles of clomid, one the last 2 cycles I actually ovulated but as soon as I stopped the clomid my ovulation stopped. I am now researching diets. My doc recommended Atkins or South Beach. So I just want to say hello to everyone and I look forward to chatting with you all in the future. Welcome Marsha. I am a newbie too and I have found this site very helpful. I am about 100 pounds overweight and we have been trying to conceive for 3years now. I was diagnosed last year. We can do this together. I have tried weight watchers before and no luck. I need more motivation. I haven't tried Atkins or South Beach but I have heard good things.
