Default New here, newly diagnosed, having new problem with horrid pimples (cysts?) all over!

Hi all. I'm Karen, dx'ed about a month ago with IR but no cysts on my ovaries. I started taking glucophage about 3 1/2 weeks ago and in the last, oh I'd say 2 weeks or so I've been getting these pimples wiht a big red sore area around them. I had one on the inside of my thigh that went away pretty quick but now I've got one on my lower leg that hurts like a... well, you probably know LOL! And another one just started on my face. At first they itch a bit but they quickly start getting really sore.

Is this what is called cystic acne? How do I get rid of it?

FWIW I don't have a regular endo, my RE dx'ed me as we've been having secondary infertility (long story) and are going to start IVF in Jan. or Feb. I'm not sure if I should go to my RE for this, he's swamped with IVF patients as it is and this isn't fertility related.

What to do?

Hi! I've been having the same type of "blemishes" you have, all since I started the Met. I don't know what to do either, but they really get to hurt and last a long time! Going through my skin disorder booklet from nursing classes, they most closely resemble the cystic acne or a certain type of boil, which is supposed to be bacterial and can spread on your own body from contact with the fluid inside. It says squeezing them can push the fluid farther in and reinfect, but you hate to leave a swollen bump sticking out either! I don't know what else to tell you, but that I am suffering, too. Good luck...
