Default New here... Our family Complete-Just Dealing...

Hi ladies,

I am new to this board and am excited to meet all of you and read all of the information. I was diagnosed in 2005. It took us 16mths to conceive our DS, I was diagnosed almost 1/2 way through our ttc'ing. I also have hypothyroidism and endometriosis. When I was diagnosed I was told I HAD to lose weight if I wanted a baby - hard, hard thing to do... the thyroid diagnosis helped, I was able to lose 25lbs and after an IUI, few cycles with clomid, MANY ultrasounds and appts etc we FINALLY got pregnant! I was 23 when this process began... Turned 25 just a couple weeks before he was born. He is now 2.5. Our daughter was a surprise. My cycles returned after DS and for 5mths I had regular cycles, then they stopped completely. After almost 2mths I had an ultrasound and it showed still PCOS, which was no surprise to us. A month and a bit later I was back at the Dr because I still didn't have a cycle and was hoping to get Provera to get it started. Nope I was actually JUST pregnant! Total shock... our son was 10mths old when we found out! So our kids are 18mths apart, now I wouldn't change it ever, Im glad this worked this way because I honestly did not want to ever TTC again... ever!!

So now that we are done having kids, well my body hasn't been "normal" in forever... well I stopped the BCP Oct 2004... before that was on it for many years, I found out most recently on one that hides almost all symptoms of PCOS - wonderful! Anyway now Im dealing with trying to get my body to a "normal" state and be comfortable. I wasn't having issues until our daughter was about 9-10mths old, slightly later than with DS. However Im finding if I eat the wrong things my blood sugar is off the charts, then Im starving, craving chocolate etc... I love chocolate... Im also on anti-depressants now to help balance me out, which has helped. I wasn't depressed, just emotional and well from what Ive read about PCOS that is also common. So Im within a battle of myself right now dealing with giving up more of what I love (food wise) however its also more junk food... we've changed a LOT of our eating habits and I have felt better. With all the Easter Chocolate I had a major set back. I look forward to meeting you all
