Hi, I'm new to the site but I have been an avid reader. I was given Alesse-28 to control my period and I have seen a slight difference. My question is does anyone know if I can take Saw palmetto and Vitex with BCP. I haven't asked my dr. about it yet but before I do I would like to know. I was taking saw palmetto for a month before I went to see my doctor and I noticed a big difference in my hair loss, none. I also read that Vitex can help with irregular periods. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I've read quite alot about saw palmetto on other boards here. Try posting at alternative remedies and other medications and hopefully someone can help you out!!! GOod Luck!

I wouldn't see any reason you couldn't take SP with BCPs - it should be not much different than taking Spiro and a BCP - but why would you want to take vitex? Most women seem to take vitex to help with their cycles and ovulation... you don't want to ovulate on BCP anyway!
