Default New here! Question about soy...

Hello all,
I've lurked here awhile but this is my first time posting. I've checked out some of the threads on the benefits of soy isoflavones but I'm still a bit confused. I'm just trying to bring on O and AF. I went off the pill in Feb. but haven't had a period other than the "false" one that is always induced by my placebo week (that's the way it always is with me). So anyway, how do I know when to start (does it matter?!) and how long should I stay on it? TIA!

PS - I'm on 1000mg/day of Metformin also.

Jen: from the research I have done on this site it is my understanding that you take Soy on Day 3-7. I have read anywhere from 120-150mg. When I bought mine it came in 50mg pills..so I will be taking 150mg. Good luck with the soy this month!!

I also have a question about soy...when taking the 120-150 mg dosage do people take that all at once in one sitting or break it up throughout the day?

Thank you for the reply, but this is what I don't know...days 3-7 of what? If I'm not ovulating, I don't really have a cycle to go by. That's why I'm confused...

You take it all at once like Clomid. You don't have to be ovulating to take Soy. Some cysters don't even wait for AF. Also if you are waiting on AF you can try NPC to bring it on. I used 1/2 2xd and in 12 days I had started, after nearly 3 months without one.

Praying For a Soy Joy!! TTC number 2 . Trying with vitex, soy and cinnamon.
Throw in a little black and blue cohosh, epo, licorice and dong quai all for good measure.

Has anyone seen AF? She is MIA, if you find her please send her my way.
Trying to move on to cycle number 2 of TTC #2
