Default New here with questions

Hi ladies. I'm so saddened to see so many other women who have gone through what I've been through! I'm so sorry for your losses.

I'm hoping someone can help me. I've had multiple losses. 5 of them were around 4-5 weeks (so very early) and one around 8 wks. 3 of them were back in 2005 when we were TTCing #1, but we ended up conceiving and my Dr never ran tests. The last 3 have all been this year, so I made an appt to talk to my Dr about this. Does anyone know what I should be asking her when I go in? What should they be looking for? I know my progesterone is low, but what else should we be looking for? I just want answers--I want to know that I've tried everything possible to keep this from happening again. Thanks for your help!

I am so sorry for all of your heartbreaking losses! I wish someone had wanted to test you earlier for some of the common problems at the very least. Most cases around here of repeat loss testing result in everything normal, but once in a while we do have a cyster find a problem or issue that can be worked on. Some of the tests are genetic, on you and your partner, some are clotting disorders (unlikely if you've ever carried to term), and there are some I don't know about at all.

Very best wishes to you! (((hugs)))

I would still get tested for clotting disorders. It is unlikely to have other children with them, but entirely possible. I know a girl on bbc who has 2 kids (she didn't come by them easy, though (bedrest)), a whole bunch of very early losses, plus a preemie loss at 23 weeks. She tested positive for anticardiolipins. I would definitely check on the blood clotting panel. I hope you get some answers.

Hugs!

Thank you very much for all your responses. I really appreciate all your suggestions.

Alchik, that list is great. I'll definitely bring a copy to my appointment!

I don't have any answers, but I wanted to say I am so sorry! You've been through so much more than any one person should!
