Well...let's see..my name is Lisa (it's actually Ashley, but all my friends call me Lisa because I remind them of Angelina Jolie from Girl Interrupted. I know it's weird, so I just go by Lisa)
I'm 24, a junior in college at a private catholic college in Wichita, KS, and I'm a pre-med/nursing student. I have PCOS, type 2 diabetes, hypertension (not true hypertension due to only having protein in my urine and not actual high blood pressure) high cholesterol, tendinitis, congenital nystagmus (only person in the US to have the surgery and come out with 20/20 vision), adult ADHD, OCD, paranoid personality disorder, GERD, cystic acne, severe dry skin, eczema, & psoriasis. I am a survivor of Idiopathic Thrombocytopenic Purpura (it can lead to Leukemia). I have had 3 miscarriages. The most recent is with my fiance on August 6th. I was only 4 weeks pregnant. My cycles are normally 27 days long and I am told I do ovulate, but since my miscarriage I'm not so sure at the moment. I was one day late and tested, it was positive, but 8 hours later I started miscarrying. I am part Jewish and am proud of that. My family is Christian, but they do practice alot of the Jewish ways because they are 7th day Adventists, however I am ready to start a campagn for Jewish people who love bacon!! I have 12 tattoos and I have piercings. My fiance, Mike, (in Kansas we are common law married so I do call him DH) is 27, an E4 in the Army, soon to be an E5, has also been in the air force and was a top person (I'm not military, I'm just pre-med and I don't know all the stuff). He has a BA in Criminal Justice and an AS. degree in History. He doesn't have any issues with him, but he's convinced himself that he's the infertile one..

Even though we know for a fact it's me!
I have my CNA (been a CNA since 2004, but I have been taking a break from CNA work and I have been working every once in a while) and I am working on my BSN and pre-med classes. I am a bartender and waitress at a restaurant in Wichita, KS besides doing my home health care job. At both jobs I tell them when I want to work so I love it.
I am a research junkie. I don't drink, I don't smoke and I don't exercise, because at work I am always on the go, but lately I have been using my yoga ball more (I mainly use it to adjust my back) and I have been going up and down stairs more to specifically exercise, but nothing really beyond that. I am currently looking into getting on birth control because Mike has to go to a special school to get his E5 and he will be going to a school after that so my hormones are more in check when he gets back and we start TTCing again. Since my miscarriage in August I am having very painful periods again, like before I was diagnosed with PCOS my periods would be so painful I wouldn't go to school because sleeping was the only thing that helped. Midol didn't help at all then and it doesn't do anything now..it's a Tiger Balm patch on my lower abdominal area and some tylenol -3 or it's so unbareable I can't even eat and I will throw up. So any advice on birth control would be great. I hear the triphasics aren't the best for PCOS. I liked Yaz, however it is having some issue at the moment with the FDA.
I am going to get my nurse practitioner to get me on Metformin at my next appointment.
So now I am the new person who gets to bug you all!
