new here, thin, no ir, pcos, and ttc #2 Hi ladies - for some background, i have pcos (blood and us confirmed), and thin, tested negative for insulin resistance, went on clomid, did have a beautiful girl who is now 2 and am going to be trying for #2 soon. So for starters, clomid was fantastic for us. so for anyone who's doubtful, it can work wonders. it took a pretty high dose for me and i did start out with twins, but lost one very early on. and no met. for me either. just clomid on its own. i LOVE clomid for giving me my daughter. anyway, i'm going for #2 and really don't want to take the clomid path. i really only want one more child and am nervous about multiples. i know clomid is there if needed, but i'm wondering how much a modified diet would help me. i tested negative for IR, but just wondering if anyone has benefitted from a more pcos regimented diet ? (i do eat healthy but alos like sweets and carbs :-)). i had awful cramping and acne when i came off the pill when ttc #1. i had to wait a few months coming off the pill for insurance reasons and thought it would be great to regulate from pill before trying anyway. big mistake b/c the 1st 3 months i ovulated and then not again and then was diagnosed by endo. i'm on the pill now and know that i have about 2-3 months of ovulating before i don't ovulated on my own. so i'm hoping with some diet modifications and help from residual pill regulating, i might be successful. any ideas anyone ? thanks so much ! |
