I'm new here and I plan on being here a long time. I thought I would share my story.
I wasn't always overweight, it kind of came on drastically. About 5 years ago my periods began to become really irregular, I've always had facial hair. I hate to say it but lets face it, I can out do my husband on a beard. I isolated myself because I was scared and didnt know what was wrong with me. I found myself lucky when I met a man who didn't care that I had the weight or that I shaved he loved me for me. We married when I was 18 and about 6 months later started for children, we tried for 2 years with no luck, the only thing that was causing me to ovulate and to have a regular period was my birth control. My doctor told me "well if you lost weight you wouldnt have a problem" What a quack. The middle of last year I was diagnosed with PCOS, along with my mom and sister. It has been a constant struggle to have children and everytime I see a baby or hear one I cry. I have recently found that I have a cyst on my uterus and tomorrow I go in for surgery and a D&C. I'm hoping this can help things along the way.
Welcome, and hope you feel welcome here! i'm sure you will there are many wonderful ladies on this board.. including myself (J/K high ego power today..lol) you'll find that many of your questions will be answered quickly and somtimes almost better than many of the doctors.
