i found this which may be helpful for some

A rotation schedule is suggested so as to not repeat one location too often. You may wish to tape this list to the cap of your bottle.

Monday - Inner Arms
Tuesday - Inner Thighs
Wednesday - Stomach
Thursday - Lower Legs
Friday - Abdomen
Saturday - Chest
Sunday - Hips

Once a day application - apply to area evenly
Twice a day application - suggest right side in AM, left side in PM

You SHOULD be able to order from Nature's Sunshine, and if not then, maybe Arbonne. They are both excellent companies with extremely high quality. For Nature's Sunshine, call 800-265-9163. The product in the US is called Pro-G-Yam, but I don't know if it has the same name in Canada or not (if it is avaliable). Arbonne's number is 800-272-6663 or 905-507-9900 (out of Mississauga, Ontario). I can't remember what their product is called off hand. I hope that helps.

Hello! I just read through the whole thread, too! Wow. I read one of the other threads last year, but had forgotten most everything. lol I just found a progesterone gel that says, "USP Grade Progesterone• 500 mg Pure Progesterone per Ounce." I'm pretty sure that's what I'm supposed to look for, but can someone let me know? Thank you!!!

Here's a link to that gel if anyone wants to see what it is. http://www.luckyvitamin.com/021245105411.html

"USP" grade just means that it has been graded according to the USP standard (which isn't that high of a standard, just FYI). It is good to have standards, but there are other factors that are important, too. The manufacturer's reputation can be just as good (if not better than) the USP grade. Some companies standards are so much higher (and known to be) that they don't need to be "usp" graded. BUT if it is a company you are unfamilar with, yes, it is good for it to say "usp grade" because that means it IS progesterone cream, and not just wild yam cream or soy cream (which is useless).

Hi all! I didn't read through the entire thread because I just don't have time right now (darn work!). Anyway, I started taking NPC awhile ago. I did 2 weeks on and then 2 weeks off and didn't get any sort of bleeding. I thought maybe I wasn't using enough (I only applied 1/4 tsp once a day). So, I started again and am trying 2 applications a day. So far, I still haven't gotten anything, no spotting or anything. Does anyone know why this would be??

By the way, thanks for the schedule of places to use it! That was really helpful!

DollFin, I agree completely that a company's reputation is key! I suppose that's why I'm asking if anyone has used the particular brand in question. I had never heard of it, but that doesn't mean anything. I've not heard of very many progesterones, except for Rexall. lol

This progesterone is a gel instead of a cream. I can't remember where (but I'll see if I can find it again), but I recently read that gels could be better to use than cream. I can't remember why nor where I read it, and I could have misunderstood, but that's why that particular product caught my eye.

Thank you for your response. Have a wonderful week!

Sometimes it takes a few months (typically 3 to 6 months, but it could be longer, depending on what ELSE you are doing or NOT doing) for NPC to work. It sounds like you are doing a good job as far as application amount. Do you get any PMS symptoms while you use it? If so, keep using it, for up to 3 weeks. It could be that your body is just working slowly while it adjusts to the change. That goes along with the 3-6 months thing.

Sorry, Lullaby, I don't know anything about that company. I usually recommend Nature's Sunshine's "pro-g-yam" cream, or Source Natural's Progesterone cream, or Arbonne's Progesterone cream. I am familiar with the quality of those three companies, and they are all excellent.

Hi Ladies

Sorry to gate crash yout thread but I have a question, if thats ok.

I was wondering what the benifits of NPC are? Does it help you OV natrually? Is it any good at helping regulate AF?

Sorry dont mean to ask so many questions but I am thinking of trying it but I would like some more information on it and what its good for.

thanks Charlotte

OK as I have posted before I started the NPC and after 11 days and 3 days of sore but very sore breasts, I decided to stop usin git because I was cramping like crazy but nothing. So after 2 days after stopping the NPC, AF showed up with a vengence. So I assume that is a good thing, I use the Airborne one and only applied it once a day at night and after 11 days like I said I started, so looks like it works for me FOR now. Question is this, when do I resume on day 5 is what I have been told not that I don't believe them I want to make sure is all. If I am TTC do I continue to use the cream????? I just need to know ladies can any of you help???

Use it for 14 days or until AF shows, whichever comes first. If AF isn't brought on in 14 days, stop using the cream and the withdrawal of progesterone should bring on AF. (You may or may not get AF before the 14 days are up.) If AF doesn't show up about 7-10 days after stopping the cream, begin the 14-day regimen again.

After O:
Start using the cream once you have confirmed ovulation with OPK or sustained temp rise on a BBT chart. Use it until pregnancy is confirmed or denied for sure. If you're positive that you're not pregnant, stop using the NPC and AF should show up in a few days. If you are pregnant, keep using it until you see a doctor. (If you stop using it, the withdrawal of progesterone could cause a m/c.) Also, your doctor may want to prescribe another form of progesterone.

To help sustain PG until another form of progesterone can be prescribed:
During "normal" ovulation, once the follicle releases the egg, it starts to break down and becomes the corpus luteum, which produces progesterone naturally in case pregnancy should occur. If no pregnancy happens, the corpus luteum stops making progesterone, and the drop in the prog level signals your body that it's time to have a period and start all over again. However, most women with PCOS either have small follicles to begin with or they have "weak" follicles. This means that when many PCOSers ovulate, the corpus luteum is either too small or too weak to produce enough progesterone needed to sustain a pregnancy. That's why so many PCOSers have early m/c due to low prog. That's also why so many of us use Clomid or other follicle-stimulating drugs...to make bigger, stronger follicles to increase our chances of having a good ovulation. So basically with the cream, all you're doing is giving your body a little extra boost of prog so that in case your corpus lutem isn't working properly, you can still sustain a pregnancy should one occur. So you have to make sure you've already ovulated before you start using it. If supplementation is needed, doctors will usually keep us on progesterone support for the first 12 weeks (first trimester) until the placenta begins to take over production of progesterone. It is important to remember that if pregnancy occurs, DO NOT stop using the NPC because it can actually cause a miscarriage.
I am also TTC and just had my first AF since May using NPC. I am going to see if I O on my own this month. If so, I will follow the directions above for "After O". Otherwise, I will probably use it to bring on AF again. If anyone has any experience, I'd love to hear!
