Okie dokie.... well I called Nature's Bounty, the company that makes the cream I have been using, and talked with a dietician there who said that the progesterone in their cream has been synthesized so that our bodies can break it down. It is derived from yams but she explained how in its raw form that the yam progesterone can't be broken down by our bodies, so that's why they synthesize it for us... It made sense when she explained it.
Sounds right to me! Let me know where you got it and I'll add it to the list of creams on the first page.
Thanks again ladies for all this information. I cant believe how negative it got there for a while. I mean come on its just personal information not direct orders.
I too bought the rexall brand npc the other day not thinking much about all of this. thank you so so much for all this info. i have not opend it so i hope they will take it back. i guess to be safe just look for the USP.
Anyways please keep this going. It is the best and most informative!!
Jenn

Products of Nature, Inc. is a sponsor of The Progesterone Research Institute, founded by John R. Lee, MD, to study physiological effects of progesterone and increase education concerning this important hormone. A portion of your purchase price is donated to this worthy research project.
**Because it's founded by Dr. Lee, I'd be willing to bet it contains the recommended 20mg per application. I'm still searching to find anything that actually says that, though.

Size: 2oz jar contains 990mg of natural progesterone. Each 1/4 teaspoon of cream contains 20 milligrams of progesterone.
This product is listed in Dr. John R. Lee's book "WHAT YOUR DOCTOR MAY NOT TELL YOU ABOUT PREMENOPAUSE" on page 355. This product has received the coveted "Kuffed K" award from the Jewish Rabbinical Society for purity and cleanliness. It has been Kosher-Certified by Rabbinical Supervision. Formulated from all natural ingredients. "Products of Nature" refuse to put this product in a pump because the cream left in the pump nozzle (exposed to air) loses its effectiveness and potency.
ETA: That site has a lot of good information, so please check it out!
Thanks Saren for checking further into the Products of Nature one, and for updating the front page. I was going to look it up when I got home, but it was a crazy day around here yesterday! It sounds like it's actually a good one then, from the info you posted. I'm going to check out that site you posted too. Thanks again!
Any updates from anyone? How's everybody doing? I'm just still plugging along through my lovely 2WW. Hope you're all doing well!

Well, I weaned my son completely this week. So hopefully my first PPAF won't be too far around the corner. I'm eager to see what my cycles will be like post-preg. If they aren't regular, it's NPC or Metformin (or both!) for me.

First off, I'd like to thank everyone for the collaboration of all of this information especially Saren and Rebecca.
I was hoping that maybe someone could do directions for those who are not TTC but hoping to regulate their cycles and if someone wants to control bleeding using NPC?
I have gotten a ton of info for everyone but am still a bit confused. I don't track my cycles since I'm not TTC... I took NPC and got my period really fast too just hoping to regulate my cycles and hoping it would come in like two weeks but got it after four days. I know everyone is different but I know a road map would help. Thank you in advance and for all of your hard work!

Kristina- go to the first page and there is a huge post containing all the info about how to use, when/where to apply etc. Using it to regulate your cycle and using it for TTC are the same. Just apply after O (or midcycle if you aren't really tracking O) for 10-14 days to get AF. I don't know why she came so soon last time. Maybe she was about to come on her own anyway...

Fertility friend gave me a solid coverline this morning saying that I O'ed on Friday. Should I wait for one more day's temp or should I start the NPC today? Will one more day matter?

Nicole, I always wait until at least 3 dpo, and since you are that today, I would say you're safe. I always wait til I get that coverline, because then I'm sure about O, ya know? I would think you're good to go, looks like you had a good O there. Good luck!
