Just went to my new endocrinologist yesterday and he took off of metformin and started my on Insulin. I started the Humulin Pen last night, I do 6 units before bed and then 8 units when I get up in the morning. He thinks this will get my sugars more in control and he sees no reason not to try a gonal-f round in January. My question is has anyone not been able to conceive while on Met but conceive on insulin and how long did it take you to conceive? I am just curious.

I am sorry that I can't answer your question, but I didn't want you to think your post was being ignored.

I did get pregnant last year when I brought my blood sugars down, but unfortunately miscarried.

I have been on hold for the past 10mos and we are just trying again this cycle with insulin/met/ and clomid.

I would also be interested in any answers your question gets.

I cancelled my appointments at the RE. Taking things into my own hands........because I feel I need to stabalize before I ttc. I am so interested in finding this answer. Who knows, maybe Oana, or Elaine will answer.
