I found this board a few weeks ago and joined but havent had time to post yet. What a great group of woman and a wonderful resource

I am glad a friend told me about it.
My name is Valerie, I just turned 30 and have been married almost three years (August will be three years). I havent "officially" been diagnosed with PCOS (well I guess?) but my Dr has mentioned it a few times. I dont have a lot of the symptoms that are listed, although I do have a few... but my Dr. basically said it is a "catch all" diagnosis and if you arent getting pregnant then most woman fall into that catagory. I am very new to this and still learning, reading all that I can find about it.
We were originally going to wait until hubby was out of school before TTC but I feel that I am getting older and now we are finding it isnt as easy as we thought it would be, so we decided to start trying now... unfortunately it is proving to be a bit more difficult

I am SLIGHTLY insulin resistant, actually my Dr. said that my levels were in the normal range, but higher in the normal range and she felt treatment would benefit. Here is one big issue with me, I cannot take pills. Childish I know, I have done everything I can to try, it is this major mental block and I just cannot swallow pills

So clomid and other things like that are not an option for us right now.
Since March hubby and I have been made a major lifestyle change in our diet and eating habits. I always tell him, we arent dieting, we are just living a new way

He has lost 30lbs and I have lost almost 45lbs since then. We both have much more to go, but it is a nice start. I havent been back to the dr. since then, but hope that the weight loss may help things along.
Starting last month I started keeping track of my BBT, CM, etc... This month I also bought an OTC Ovulation Test. So we will see how it goes.
That is a little about me... I am sure I am forgetting a ton of stuff also. But I am so glad to be here and meet everyone. I have been reading through the board and you ladies sound like amazing people! I look forward to getting to know you all.
