K well i've always been hairy, but i also went through puberty at age 7/8 so...I actually finall got tested today for PCOS after months of doctors ignoring me. Anyway I don't know what to do...or if it's normal or PCOS normal lol...I have a horrible mustache...I am really pale with almost black hair, so my life is fun lol. I also have side burns the extend down my cheeks and have awkward long hairs. I also noticed a random 2 inch coarse hair growing out of my neck...god knows how many people saw that before i did...I also have a lot of long, dark yet soft hair on my lower back, but there is a LOT. I will never be able to get a tramp stamp I also have hairy arms, toes, knuckles. I have fine, dark but abundant hair in my cleavage, and fine dark hairs all over my stomach. I also have to pluck my eyebrows almost everyday just to keep from looking like a bush-woman...and anyone else noticed eyebrows that kind of blend in with your hair line, like long hairs in between the eyebrows and hair...?

I suppose the question is "What is normal?" Those of us with PCOS tend to have high testosterone levels. Many of us have also been sensitized during fetal life to respond to testosterone. But we're women, and the hormone balance we have is unusual for women, similar to men, but affects us slightly differently to the way in which men are affected by similar testosterone levels. What that means in practice is that some of us have much the same hair growth and hair loss patterns as men do, but showing up a bit later in life than they do in men and to rather a lesser extent. That seems to be much the pattern with you if at 19 you've got moustache growth and sideburns with some hair elsewhere on the face and neck -- perhaps the sort of growth a male might have at 16.
