Unhappy New man- Terrible Cramps after being with him

Hi- I'm new to this forum. I've had PCOS sicne I was 16 (29 now) and the only thing I'm on these days is Metformin, which seems to be working well.

My question is this...I have a new boyfriend..however, everytime I'm with him (no sex yet!) I get terrible, horrible cramps like immediately afterwards. These are unrelated to my menstrual cycle, and I generally never get cramps during it anyway.

I suspect this has something to do with hormones/pcos...but has anyone ever heard or experienced this? Can a man's smell or being around him alter your hormones? And what is this doing to my body?

I suspect it's been coincidental after being with the new man, if sex hasn't been involved. I don't think pheremones could cause cramping.

I also highly suggest changing your screen name - it gives away your first initial, last name, and that you work for the Port Authority of of NY and NJ. You don't want just any yahoo online knowing all that. Privacy on the internet is your friend.

I second the idea of changing your username. You don't want a work email out there like that!

As for you question... I actually used to ovulate over or just after the weekends of seeing my long distance boyfriend. I realize that this is not borne out in any way by any studies, and is probably hard to believe, but it certainly happened! Whether the hormonal cascade leading to O was triggered by my anticipation of his arrival or by something I "smelled" on him once we were together I have no idea. I only know that I had very irregular periods and Os, but that over the course of a year it happened 9 of the 10 3 and 4 day weekends we spent together. We were having sex, though.

My spiel is just to state that I believe it is possible to react to another person like this. Whether your cramps are coincidence or not I don't know.

Not sure what you're referring to, but could this be akin to reach, or almost reaching, orgasm just by thinking about the guy -- and pheromones could certainly have something to do with it if such was the case.
