Hi Everyone,
I'm 24 years old and have suffered with PCOS since I was 16 years old. At the moment I trying to fall pregant and are finding it very emotional to deal with. My partner of 9 years is wonderful but he can only offer so much support. I have listed on this site in the hope that I will find people that understand what I'm going thru and can offer words of support. Hope to hear from you soon.
You have certainly come to the right place for support. The ladies here are just wonderful and are always more than willing to help you out. Have a good look around the site, you will find so much information. I have been a member for a few yrs now, but have really gotten back into it since we are also TTC #1. I have learnt so much from these ladies, its amazing!!! I am starting my first round of clomid tomorrow! Kinda nervous about it, but also excited to be hopefully getting closer to being pregnant. Where is Oz are you? I'm in NSW.
Have you had a look at the Trying to conceive forum?? Probably also a great idea to check out the newbies forum. It gives you some basic information about alot of things.
Know that you are not alone in this fight against PCOS. Everyone here is in the same boat, so the support level is 110% as so many of us here understand exactly how you are feeling. I know what you mean about how your parnter can only offer so much support, my partner is absolutely awesome in the support area, but its a totally different kind that you get from these ladies! It won't take you long to work that out. Probably before long you will be obsessed with soulcysters, like so many of us are!
Have you sort any help from a doctor, Obgyn or Endocrinologist??? An Endocrinologist will help with the hormones and infertility side of things. Thats who has given me to fertility drugs. My local doctor started me on Met, even though I am not insulin resistant.
Its very hard journey TTC. I know how emotional it can be. I have good and bad days all the time. I am trying not to think too much about it all, and hoping this round of clomid will be my first and last. I know more than likely it won't be, but positive thoughts have to help out some surely??
Anyway..I hope you are feeling a little better. You should be because you have found an absolutely awesome site that will give you so much information to arm yourself with and help you deal with PCOS!!
Sending you lots of baby dust, ++++thoughts and sticky vibes!!! :p

Thank you very much Debbie, It was good to get a reply from someone. It made me feel that I was not alone. I'm currently being looking after at the RWH. I'm not on any medications as they think it is not necessary it this stage. You made me feel really welcome. Thanks Heaps
Hi, welcome to soulcysters!! This place has helped me get through some pretty tough times too and is a wealth of information - good luck on your ttc journey and I hope that it isn't too much longer for you.

Stacey...How is everything going? I didn't get emailled that you responded to my previous post, so I do apologise!! I havent seen you around on the boards, so thought I would pop in to see what is going on with you and how are you finding soulcysters????
I hope you have made some friends and getting that extra support you need! It comes in handy. I had a bit of a melt down today, so posted and have gotten great support from the ladies here! It was good to have it considering my BF wasn't home at the time..
Where is the RWH????? Metformin is a great help for woman who do not ovulate. It can help restored that, which if course in turn aids in fertility. It is worth speaking to your doctor about it if you are TTC and having difficulties. Since starting the met, i have had 2 cycles. Not sure about ovualting, but at least it is getting more regular. Hopefully the clomid will help me the ovulating part at the moment as I am in my first round.
Anyway, feel free to message me anytime and I hope to hear from you soon.
