For 15 years I'd been suffering with heavy, extended, sometimes missing periods. I went to many doctors who always just said "lose some weight" blah blah blah, nothing else. They'd put me on BC pills and sometimes that would make me bleed even more.
Finally, I was diagnosed in January 2006 with PCOS, and had a D&C in Feb 2006. For the last year I'd taken BC pills to regulate my cycle and everything was going great. I am getting married in April, and I hope to one day have a healthy baby.
In October of 2006 I decided to stop taking my BC pills so that we could TTC, and didn't have a period for months. In Feb 07 my doctor put me on Metformin/Glucophage to start my cycle and I'm on again. Now I'm going thru alot of crazy changes in my body. I'm gaining weight (as if I need to), constantly nauseous, dizziness, headaches. Just a plethora of things.
My biggest fear is that I won't be able to have any children. Just reading a few post I've been tearing up because I'm so happy to finally find women who know what I'm going thru. I look forward to sharing and learning from you all.
