Default New to Met

Well where to begin. I was dxd about 4 years ago, but have been having symptoms since 1997 or so. I will be going to the doctor on the 19th and will probably be put on Met. Does anyone have any suggested questions that I should ask. Also have any of you went on Met and Clomid together as a first step in ovulation? Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you all so very much!

Hey there-

I'm pretty new to all this, too, but since no one else seems to be responding yet, I'll tell you what I know. I started Met almost 2 months ago after my RE diagnosed me. I was supposed to try to work up to 2000mg, but I can only handle 1500mg, so that's what I'm on now. So I spent one month working up to a dose I could tolerate (first a week at 500mg, then 1000mg, then 1500mg...) then a month on that dose. After that, I will start Clomid again. I got pregnant w/ DD on Clomid, but when I started to TTC #2, Clomid didn't do a thing for me. So hopefully, in conjuction with the Met, Clomid will make me O this time!

I haven't enjoyed taking the Met at all, but I think its working, so I stick with it. For the first time in as long as I can remember, my period started on its own. I'm hoping that maybe I'll O on my own, too! If not though, there's always the Clomid.

Hope this helps a little. Good luck!
