Default new to met

i am new to met and just got the rx for it today i went and filled it but the dr never said anything about not takin it if i am pg... so since there is a chance i could be pg should i wait until af comes...? help... not really sure...

All I can say is that my RE said he has his patients stay on met thru the first 3 months and then it would be up to the ob. I know some cysters stay on it their entire pg while others stop once they know they are pg. That's really all I know about it. I think I would want to stay on for as long as my Dr would let me. From what I've read it helps lower m/c rates in women with PCOS. If you are worried about it though I would call your Dr and ask.

You definetly need to talk to your physician. As Dazed mentioned, The opinions vary from Dr to Dr on if they allow their pts to continue Met while pregnant, so you need to ask yours. My guess is though that if he was concerned about met and the possibility of pregnancy, he wouldn't have given you the Rx without a pregnancy test.
