Default new to Metformin

Hello ladies, First of all I am so happy that I've found this site. I've been taking Met for two weeks now. 500mg twice daily. I've had some side effects but nothing that I can't deal with. I'm just curious if this dosage is enough. I really want to lose weight but I have not read that many woman have had success with this dose. I am a little worried about asking for a higher dose since I have had some side effects and don't know if with a higher dose they would be worse. Basically just looking for some inspiring success stories. Thanks all for reading!

I will be watching this thread... I started 500 mg's last week and tonight I add another 500 to make 1000mg of the drug.
