This is my first posting, I'm new to the site and new to PCOS. I was recently diagnosed and just began taking metformin on Friday. I have some general questions, I'm hoping someone can help. I've heard some side effects such as headaches, ton o' bathroom breaks, and nausea. I was curious about the effects of alcohol while using this medicine? Any ideas? Any other information would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks so much. I feel much better now, knowing that I am not alone in all this. I've been struggling with these symptoms my whole life, just now at 27, someone has finally answered my questions.
