Default New and need answers ASAP

I am preparing to start my first cycle of Clomid 50mg at the begining of the next cycle. My last cycle was induced with progesterone. I have been bleeding/spotting since CD 15 and it has been 3 days. It has been heavy spotting but I'm not sure I should call it true flow. Should I count this as the start of a new cycle? I called my DR office on the first day of bleeding and they said they weren't going to count it yet but to keep an eye on it. Would you count it? I am in a hurry cause I should be starting Clomid on CD 3 which would be today.

what is your normal flow like? how long are your cycles regularly? do you usually ovulate? I will sometimes spot, sometimes heavy, for a week or so before the real period starts. It's common in a luteal phase defect after ovulation to spot when the progesterone level is insufficient to completely support the endometrium, and also in pcos where if you don't ovulate, fluctuating levels of estrogen are causing the endometrium to irregularly bleed a bit.
I imagine your dr is right, you should wait until the real cycle starts because clomid probably won't work if you are accidentally starting mid cycle. Are they planning on giving you progesterone again if necessary?
also, many docs will start clomid on day 5 instead of 3. there is no evidence that one is better than another, so you still have time. I've always done day 5-9.
