I'm 24 and last year my regular dr. told me that she thought I had PCOS. My hair began thinning on the top of my scalp about 2 years ago and I did everything I could think of to fix it. It got to the point that my grandmother suggested I smoke week to relieve stress lol! I cut the carbs out of my diet at the time hoping that it would help but it hasn't. I was recently diagnosed for depression and began taking Zoloft which I've read can make your hair fall out (YAY for that...anyone had that problem??) I went for about 6 months with no health insurance and only recently got it back. I'm tired of people staring at my hair and having to explain myself to guys that I date. I don't have the abnormal hair growth, I have very little body hair at all and it's mostly fine and blond. My dr. said that the dark patches on my underarms and the inside of my thighs were a big sign of PCOS. She did blood work and my testosterone levels were normal, but my insulin levels were 3 times what they should be. I'm not sure what step to take next. I know that I need to see an endocrinologist but I'm not even sure what they do... Can anyone help me out?

my blood tests come back normal, but i am definately a pcos girl. An endo is a hormone dr. here is a link for you
